Secure utility access covers, protecting access to drains, sewers, telephone and electricity cables and other services, are in place. Utility covers are often targeted by determined criminals.

The ultimate security of the development and business continuity may be reliant upon the intruder security systems or fire alarm’s ability to signal to an alarm receiving centre via a secure telephone line. It is therefore highly important to provide sufficient secure ducting into the site with an appropriate number of secure access covers. It may also be necessary to provide enough additional capacity to cater for speculative developments.
