Advanced Laser Imaging work at heart of reopened murder case
Cambridgeshire Police announced in a Press Conference on 11 June 2015 the reopening of the investigation into the murder of six year old Rikki Neave in Peterborough in 1994.
SBD member, Advanced Laser Imaging, are working in conjunction with the Cambridgeshire Police Scientific Support Unit on 3D recording and reconstruction of areas relating to the crime and a sequence of events, using their very latest techniques and applications, in the hope of bringing new evidence to light.
Advanced Laser Imaging are also using 3D laser imaging techniques to help in securing neighbourhoods by improving CCTV coverage and being able to analyse CCTV in a more advanced way to help identify suspects. They are helping to plan event security and locate other safety measures appropriately in selected locations.
