Ahmarra Door Solutions have achieved dual certification compliance for both “Q Mark Fire” and “Q Mark Security” on their SBD accredited range of internal flat entrance doors.
SBD Development Officer Lyn Poole said: “I am really pleased that Ahmarra’s lovely wooden doorsets have achieved dual certification. Correctly certified security and fire rated products are a crucial part of any development and developers specifying dual certification can be reassured that the complete doorset will not only protect against an attack by intruders but, in the event of a fire, will also restrict fire from entering or escaping from a flat.”
The majority of Ahmarra’s work is for large scale, new build construction projects for schools, airports, hotels, luxury homes and commercial properties for main contractors such as Balfour Beatty, Morgan Sindall and Willmott Dixon.

Martyn Fennell, Ahmarra’s Business Development Manager said: “Ahmarra are currently supplying and installing hundreds of PAS 24 flat entrance doors in Southampton tower blocks, as part of the council’s social housing fire safety upgrade project and it is vital that we can demonstrate full compliance for both fire and security and the SBD scheme offers this reassurance. Our fire rated security doors are made to order in a size and finish to suit your bespoke design requirements.”
Ahmarra’s certified security fire doors provide peace of mind that the people, property and assets within the building are protected from opportunist thieves, vandalism, attack, fire and smoke. In order to achieve independent, third-party certification, Ahmarra submitted sample doorsets for primary testing to a UKAS accredited testing facility. The tests conducted demonstrated the door’s ability to resist fire for at least 30 minutes, as well as an intruder’s attempts to use stealth to gain entry to PAS 24 test standards.
Third-party certification ensures doors not only meet stringent security standards, but continue to be manufactured to a consistent quality through regular audit checks.
