Check An Invoice gains Digital Security Innovator accreditation

With cyber crime being an ever increasing threat to business, particularly for SMEs who often struggle to find the expertise and funding to implement effective cyber security, the PDSC developed the Digital Security Innovator certification scheme in collaboration with BSI (British Standards Institution) for innovative cyber security companies who can demonstrate that their product or service addresses a recognised security issue faced by SMEs.

As part of their certification, Check An Invoice underwent a robust accreditation process to prove that they met the PDSC’s requirements. They were able to demonstrate that they had taken the necessary security steps to instil confidence in their product and supply chain, and they help end users choose effective and appropriate solutions. The certification recognises that Check An Invoice can provide solutions in the field of digital security which genuinely solve their clients’ problems.

Check An Invoice is a London based SaaS startup, founded in 2019 by Firdaus Mogul. Firdaus saw a gap in the market after one of his friends was a victim of an invoice fraud attack and there was no available product that addressed this problem. He used the opportunity to build a solution that would address this growing and hugely underreported concern.

Check An Invoice focusses on identifying and preventing invoice fraud using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Working on a subscription based model, the platform is easy-to-use and intuitive, suiting both small and large companies alike and can be customised to suit a company's unique needs.

The Police Digital Security Centre was established in 2015 by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MoPAC) to raise awareness among small businesses about the importance of good cyber security and now works across the country in support of the Government’s ambition to make the UK one of the safest places to do business online.

The PDSC works in partnership with industry, government, academia and law enforcement, utilising an extensive network of partners, including local police forces, Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), Chambers of Commerce, Professional bodies and others, to connect with local communities and provide practical support on how organisations can improve security on site.

The PDSC’s Digital Security Innovator and Digital Security Provider certification schemes were launched in February 2020.
