Hambleside Danelaw awarded ‘Police Preferred Specification’ status
Secured by Design, the UK official Police flagship initiative, is working to reduce burglary and crime in the UK by designing out crime through physical security and processes.
They focus on crime prevention of homes and commercial premises and promote the use of security standards for a wide range of applications and products, achieving a reduction of crime by up to 75%.
Hambleside Danelaw have been a member since 2012 and have just signed up for another year to March 2016.
After testing and passing standards specified by Secured by Design, our Dryseal and Roofing and Ventilation products were awarded the ‘Police Preferred Specification’ status.
The accreditation covers Dryseal and Hambleside Danelaw GRP Valley Troughs for plain and interlocking tiled roofs, Hambleside Danelaw GRP Valley Troughs for slated roofs, Hambleside Danelaw GRP Bonding Gutters for plain and interlocking tiled roofs and Hambleside Danelaw GRP Conti-Soakers for plain and interlocking tiled roofs, all as alternatives or replacements of lead or copper.
Alfie Hosker, Development Officer for Secured by Design, made a visit to our Daventry head office this week to present the new Secured by Design certificate to Andy Fell, Dryseal Manager for Hambleside Danelaw Ltd.
