Lancashire’s Direct Window Co is the latest company to renew its membership with Secured by Design (SBD), the national police crime prevention initiative.
Direct Window Co has manufactured products for the home improvement industry for over two decades. The company started out on 9th August 1995, with just £46 in the bank, 800sq ft of factory space and making, in the first week, one window and door.
Since then Direct Window Co has become one of the largest double glazing companies in the northwest, expanding their factory space 21 times. They currently occupy 45,000sq ft, employing over 120 people and with the capacity to manufacture up to 3,000 windows a week.
The company even publish and deliver their very own newspaper, Direct Times, which started in March 2010 and is delivered to one million households across the northwest of England each month.
