Police CPI at the Outstanding Security Performance Awards 2022
Sponsoring the ‘Outstanding Security Partnership’ category, Police CPI were in attendance at this year’s Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs), hosted by the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.
Recognising and rewarding companies, people, and innovation across the security sector, the OSPAs have been a showcase of excellence and innovation in security since 2015, with judging carried out by a panel of 28 independent experts from across the security industry.
Winners were announced on Thursday, 24th February 2022 at a black-tie dinner hosted by quiz master, presenter, and stand-up comedian Paul Sinha at the Royal Lancaster Hotel.
Overlooking Hyde Park, the host venue itself has recently demonstrated its support of safety and security by becoming the first hotel and London venue to receive a 5-star rating with Licensing SAVI, an accreditation initiative from Police CPI which aims to provide safer and more secure venues for managers, staff, customers, and local communities.
Among the finalists, Police CPI were pleased to support a number of Secured by Design member companies across the award categories, including CSL, CLD Fencing Systems, Heald, Paxton, Warrior Doors, and SmartWater with their SBD accredited product, SmartTag. SelectaDNA were also in attendance as the event's Trophy and Certificate Sponsor.
Michael Brooke, Police CPI, presented the award for the Outstanding Security Partnership to Mitie and West Midlands Police for the Birmingham City Centre Partnership, a successful security partnership that has delivered outstanding performance. He said: “Police CPI were delighted to sponsor the ‘Outstanding Security Partnership Award’ at the OSPAS this year. We have great appreciation for the value of partnership working, as it’s at the heart of all that we do as a crime prevention focused organisation. Congratulations to those involved. We hope the award raises the profile of their initiative, further leading to even greater success.”
Secured by Design member company Heald Ltd was thrilled to receive the award they were nominated for. MD Debbie Heald commented: “We are honoured to have won the OSPA award for Outstanding Security Equipment Manufacturer. We take extreme pride in the fact that we manufacture 100% of our products in the UK, this award is a real testament to our fabulous and dedicated team.
