Premier extends its range of accredited products as its factory and operations expand to keep pace with customer demand
Essex-based Premier Security Consultants, a long-established specialist in security entrance steel doorsets and screens, which is going through a major period of business expansion, has extended its range of Secured by Design (SBD) accredited products.
The company, which also provides access controlled integrated perimeter security systems, has added 14 new doorsets and two gates to make a total of 76 products and variations listed on SBD’s website.
Premier’s latest additions include the UK’s first certified thermally broken steel doors, a real game changer in the market, according to Premier Managing Director Neil Johns.
Premier is increasing the size of its factory at Hainault Business Park in response to customer demand and to increase its range of on-site production and finishing services. These include a state-of-the-art powder coating and shot blasting facility.
In October this year, the company purchased two six-figure CNC drilling and saw machines to increase productivity.
Its services range from concept, design and architect liaison through to manufacturing, installation and maintenance.
Premier’s doorsets are available in various design configurations including fire integrity. Urmet and EIS access control system doors and screens are available in steel and stainless steel constructions. Other products include bespoke staircases and balustrades.
Every single item Premier produces is unique in design and specification and built to order.
All Premier’s SBD accredited security doorsets have been certified to one of the following standards: LPS 1175 Issue 7, SR2; LPS 2081 Issue 1, SRB; or PAS 24:2016.
Of the two newly SBD accredited gates, one is certified to LPS 1175 Issue 7 and the other to LPS 2081 Issue 1, SRB.
In May 2018, Premier announced that it had become an official supplier of Swedish-based Hammerglass, another SBD member company. Hammerglass is a specialist provider of ‘unbreakable glazing solutions’ with a global marketplace.
Premier has been in business for more than 30 years, an SBD member company since 2010 and has just renewed its membership for a further year. The company has worked with many large contractors, architects and most London boroughs.
Neil Johns said: “The demand for SBD accredited products continues to grow as customer awareness increases. Architects are now including SBD certified products in their design proposals and we are getting more and more enquiries about SBD doors, gates and screens.
“I can only see the market going one way so Premier’s involvement with SBD will continue apace. Our thermally broken steel doors are a major breakthrough for the building industry. We are testing more products this month and there’s more scheduled for 2019.”
