Professional BMX Racer Ross Cullen uses an SBD accredited Asgard bike storage shed
Secured by Design member company Asgard Storage once again helps up-and-coming athletes to safely secure their bikes and equipment, with Professional BMX Racer and World Number 6 Ross Cullen becoming the latest athlete to choose an Asgard Bike Shed.
Ross needed a large and secure bike shed to store his new motorcycle, BMX bikes, and equipment in the shed. The Centurion, a 5ft x 9ft Secured by Design (SBD) accredited bike shed with reinforced doors, hinges, and panels fitted the bill perfectly.
“My Asgard shed is the perfect solution to securely store my bikes and training equipment” Ross said, “The team came and fitted the shed in under an hour so it was totally stress free. I am really happy I have found a secure housing for my bikes I can trust, to free up some space in the house!”
Stuart from the Asgard Shed Installation Team said: “It was great to meet Ross and install the Centurion Shed for him. As he already had a flat patio base, it was a straight forward install, apart from the rain! Because of the sheds full-width doors and ramp, it makes great motorcycle storage too, but we’re a little gutted we weren’t there to see his new bike.”

Who is Ross Cullen?
Ross has been a BMXer since the age of 6. Starting off in Preston Pirates BMX Club, Ross soon made the podium quickly within his age group and became UEC Junior European champion in 2019. His other notable achievements include coming third at UEC BMX European Cup in Verona (2022), and 1st and 3rd at UEC BMX European Cup (2023).
Ross came World Number 6 at the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships in Glasgow, the best position for the GBCT BMX racing men’s squad. With BMX racing becoming an Olympic sport in 2008, Ross was selected to be a travelling reserve for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, and with a very promising future we hope to see him at Paris 2024!
Why did Ross choose the Centurion Bike Shed x6?
The Asgard Centurion 5x9 metal shed makes an excellent bike shed for up to 6 standard bikes, or storage for 1 motorcycle with ample space for additional equipment. With full-width double doors, a ramp and an internal height of 6ft 6”, this all metal shed gives most users great space to manoeuvre items in and out of the shed. However, it was the security features of the Centurion Bike Shed x6 that most appealed to Ross.
Alfie Hosker, Secured by Design, said: “I am delighted that Ross is really happy with his SBD accredited Asgard bike storage shed. I loved BMXing in my younger days and think the first bike I had was a Raliegh Burner BMX with the yellow infills in the wheels. I am always astounded by the speed and fearless attitude to courses which is often displayed in BMX racing, I wish Ross all the best in his future competitions and look forward to seeing him competing at the Paris Olympic Games in 2024!”
Accredited with Loss Prevention Certification Board Level 1 status, UK Locksmith Association approved and of course, Secured by Design accredited, the Centurion is a strong bike storage shed to help prevent bike theft and give peace of mind to athletes. These excellent credentials are down to its reinforced galvanised steel panels and roof, welded hinges, integral base (which can be bolted to the ground), and its 5 point locking system with EN1303-rated pick-and-drill resistant lock and handle that's designed to shear off in an attack. These fantastic security features make the Centurion Bike Shed an excellent choice for Ross and many other athletes.
