Secured by Design (SBD) member company, Bradbury Group, scooped an award at the first UK Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) at The London Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel, Mayfair, on Thursday, 2 March 2017.
The Lincolnshire based manufacturer of steel doors, security grilles and cages won the Security Equipment Manufacturer category – one of 14 awards presented during the event attended by 330 people.
Mark Mason, Sales and Marketing Director for the Bradbury Group, said: "With the ever-increasing need for physical security, Bradbury are proud to offer our customers the most advanced physical security solutions on the market. We were honoured to receive acknowledgement at an event that was specifically designed to benchmark and recognise industry excellence and achievement."
SBD Senior Development Officer, Mick Reynolds, said: "Bradbury was one of two SBD member companies to be outright winners in their categories in these awards which recognise and reward companies and individuals across the security sector. We join with them in celebrating their success."
Judging criteria was based on key factors that contribute to 'sustainable and outstanding' performance including skills, behaviours and performance and provide a benchmark for other companies in the sector.
The OSPAs have been set up with security associations and groups from many countries, including Australia, US, Germany, Norway and Romania.
SBD, the national police crime prevention initiative, works closely with Police Forces throughout the country and uses proven crime prevention techniques to reduce crime through environmental design to create secure spaces at the design stage and to set products standards that achieve Police Preferred Specification – beyond the physical security standards required by the Building Regulations.
