Selectaglaze renew with Secured by Design

Selectaglaze is one of the latest companies to renew their membership with Secured by Design (SBD), the official police security initiative.

Selectaglaze is a specialist designer, manufacturer and installer of bespoke secondary glazing systems, in London and across the UK.

Founded in 1966, Selectaglaze is acknowledged as the leading UK specialist in secondary glazing. As testament to the company’s quality of service, product range and knowledge, a Royal Warrant was granted in 2004.

Selectaglaze has long standing relationships with a number of London's major Estates, providing solutions to even the most challenging of London and the UK's irreplaceable historic buildings.

All units are bespoke and designed with careful consideration to meet the needs of the project. They are manufactured at Selectaglaze’s St Albans factory, and installed throughout London and the UK by their in-house team of installers or network of approved referral partners.

Keith Mercer, MD, of Selectaglaze said: “Selectaglaze has been a member of Secured by Design since 2006 and proud of the continuing association. We have supported training days and locally run SBD events, having the pleasure of speaking to many of its stakeholders. With our specialist range of security products, it is with great satisfaction that we can assist and advise DOCOs on elements to consider when putting forward secondary glazing to help raise the security on Britain’s heritage and Listed buildings, safeguarding them for years to come.”

SBD Development Officer Lyn Poole said: "We are very pleased that Selectaglaze have renewed their SBD membership. Their secondary glazing systems are tried and tested, with the ballistic and blast systems having been installed in many differing and unique buildings. I look forward to working with them over the coming years".
