VEKA UK is one of the latest companies to renew its membership with Secured by Design (SBD), the official police security initiative.
VEKA has been a partner of SBD for around six years and the two organisations have a shared ethos; a desire to ‘design out crime’ at the product development stage, for the most effective results.
The Burnley manufacturer is part of the global VEKA Group, which was established in Germany in 1969 and still remains entirely family owned. VEKA Group has subsidiaries in over 40 countries across Europe, Asia, America and Russia.
Today, VEKA (in the UK and worldwide) continues to foster the culture that led to its success, offering a heritage of quality, efficiency, reliability, and stability to its partners. VEKA UK is best known for its VEKA, Halo and Imagine PVCu product ranges, which have each set new standards in the fenestration industry.

VEKA UK Marketing Director Dawn Stockell said, “VEKA UK is committed to quality without compromise. And that means that our products are designed to incorporate high spec security features from the start, rather than these being ‘added on’ to the finished product.
“We’re very proud of our ongoing partnership with SBD. When it comes to new product development, security, energy efficiency and style are all key priorities and our SBD licence and use of the SBD logo is a good way to illustrate our commitment to this initiative. It helps mark out those companies that go above and beyond when it comes to security.”
SBD Development Officer Hazel Goss said: “VEKA UK have been members with Secured by Design since 2014 and it was a pleasure renewing their membership for another three years. I am looking forward to working with them for many more years to come”.
