The Secured by Design Alarm Standard

Following increasing industry interest Secured by Design created an SBD Alarm Standard for alarm installation companies. Installers meeting the SBD Alarm Standard now have the option of joining this SBD scheme, following an assessment from their respective Alarm Inspectorate body, enabling buyers to have confidence in installers utilising the trusted ‘Police Preferred Specification’ branding.

The SBD Alarm Standard seeks to further improve police alarm response times and enable a more effective deployment of police responders to alarm calls, achieving further reduction in the number of false alarm calls, with a corresponding reduction in demand on Forces.
