Express Bi-Folding Doors open to new opportunities with largest display showroom in Europe
Leeds-based Express Bi-Folding Doors Ltd, a company which has grown in ten years to become one of the largest manufacturers and installers operating its specialist field in the UK, has joined Secured by Design (SBD), the national police crime prevention initiative.
A family-owned business, set up by a father son team in 2007, Express Bi-Folding Doors offers a much broader product range than its name suggests by going beyond manufacturing architectural systems for bi-folding, sliding and front doors to offer a wide selection of window and roofing products too.
Its products come with different options and price points and are supported by in-house services which include survey, installation, guarantees and aftercare.
The company employs more than 200 people nationwide and has a flagship showroom at its manufacturing base in Leeds called The Home Space, which is the largest display showroom in Europe. It has other showrooms in Glasgow, Harrogate, Romford in Essex and Redhill in Surrey.
Express Bi-Folding Doors shows at annual exhibitions in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh and has become involved in a number of TV programmes including ‘Grand Designs’. ‘The Home Show’ and ‘Double Your House for Half the Money’.
SBD encourages manufacturers of security products like doors and windows to meet its Police Preferred Specification standard which requires independent third-part certification to ensure that products undergo regular production audits and re-testing rather than the one-off testing required by the Building Regulations.
Express Bi-Folding Doors signed up with SBD during July with a wide range of 21 certified doorsets which ‘offer a level of security suitable for dwellings and other buildings exposed to comparable risk’.
