Renovated Museum secured by CGT Security’s Xonar 942 range
A Grade 1 Listed heritage property has installed Secured by Design member company CGT Security’s Xonar 942 roller shutters to create secure and controlled environment.
Located in the heart of Winchester, the 19th Century Grade 1 heritage property was originally built to celebrate and collate classic Greek sculptures. As time went on and the collection amassed, the museum urgently required a renovation to correctly house the rich collection.

Why use a Xonar 942 on a Heritage property?
Heritage properties, in particular museums and galleries, must adhere to the restrictions of the Government Indemnity Scheme (GIS). Offering an alternative to the cost of commercial insurance, GIS specifies a minimum standard of physical security dependent on variables such as location, application style and contents.
Offering a certified solution to low- and medium risk applications, Xonar 942 Bolt On Security Shutter provides mitigation of forced entry via bodily force. With certification to LPS 1175 Issue 7: SR2, Xonar 942 has undergone extensive testing, with accreditation awarded by both the LPCB and Secured by Design (SBD). Xonar 942 also eliminates the requirement for auxiliary locking mechanisms anywhere on the shutter.
