Westcoast renews to bring Swedish quality and style to the UK

A UK company that supplies Swedish manufactured windows and doors for a wide range of sectors, including residential, commercial, education and leisure as well as supported housing, has renewed its membership with Secured by Design (SBD), the official police security initiative.

Westcoast Window Systems design, build and install bespoke Scandinavian aluminium and timber composite windows and doors for UK customers.

With a marketplace ranging from the self-build to the commercial construction industry, every project is different whilst their work philosophy remains constant: to build products of the highest quality and provide professional quality service from sales, design and production through to installation and aftersales support.

Building on the principles of functional, yet elegant design, efficiency and exceptional durability, its products of bonded aluminium and timber composite construction offer ‘all the style of aluminium and all the warmth of wood’.

All products are hand-assembled in Sweden to ensure consistency in quality throughout the whole production process.

Westcoast Window Systems is the UK division of its parent company based in Trollhattan, Sweden, and has been designing and building high performance Scandinavian windows and doors since 1995.

The company has 11 window and door products that have been accredited by SBD, which means they have been recognised by the Police Service across the UK as having achieved ‘Police Preferred Specification’.

Managing Director, Andrew Mills, commented: “Our aim is to provide bespoke solutions to our customers to the highest standards of quality, environment, flexibility and service.

“We always give consideration to how our products will be used in their lifetime – they are designed and manufactured to last as long as the building they are intended for and to withstand all weather conditions.

“Security is increasingly important to our customers, and we are focussed on providing them with robust glazing solutions that meet their high demands, last longer and require minimal maintenance.”

Doug Skins, Development Officer, SBD, said: “We are delighted that Westcoast Window Systems has renewed with SBD. They are a really good company and their renewal underlines their commitment to make not only top end products but also products that are secure to make people safe.”
